Snarky Candiru2

Tuesday, 29 December 2009

As spotts1701 has told us, Connie is about to remind Phil that she needs a man to complete her and he's it. Since she's a dumb-ass who doesn't realize that showing up acting all clingy and weird scares some guys off, she's about to do something stoopid and useless.

Panel 1: We start things off with Phil playing his trumpet and Lynn revealing that she has no idea what one should sound like; the "Tattica-tattica-tahhhhhhh-tattica" she uses doesn't say "trumpet" to me, at any rate.

Panel 2: We shift to an exterior shot of the Pattermanse where we find that his playing has attracted a household pest: Connie Poirier.

Panel 3: Elly, Barnacle Lizzie and Farley stand there like they're playing freeze tag as Connie comes in and says "Hi, it's me! I heard Phil practicing so I thought I'd come over."

Panel 4: John asks Elly, who's washing dishes, what Phil is playing now.

Panel 5: Elly smirks as she says that she isn't sure but she thinks it's a mating call.

Summary: We have to give Elly this one, don't we? That's because Phil is, without intending to, playing the mating call of the North American Lovelorn Idiot which guarantees that he'll spend the rest of his life being resented by a needy dumbass with daddy issues who can't understand that men can be not into her and still be good people.

ETA: Lynn wishes us all a Happy 2010; now that we're about finished with these awful new-ruins, it will be.
