Snarky Candiru2

Friday, 20 June 2008

We're at a crossroads here. Will Lynn waste more precious time showing vintage examples of Connie trying to get Elly to stand up for herself or will modern-day Elly continue to moan and holler?

The latter, sadly.

Panel 1: We continue where we left off as Connie tells Elly that she can baby-sit her grandkids without getting swamped by the simple expedient of setting limits.

Panel 2: After all, she's gotta have time for herself because she's pretty much done with being a parent. One year to go and she's served out her time.

Panel 3: She finishes off by telling her to let her kids find their own sitters and only step in in an emergency. Elly is horrified.

Panel 4: That's because it would mean leaving her babies with strangers. Or, in English instead of Foob, she couldn't get all that hot martyrdom action.

Summary: Connie is friends with a crazy person.
