Snarky Candiru2

Saturday, 10 May 2008

Usually with the hybrid strips, we have an abrupt end to things on Saturday and start a new plot thread Monday morning. It might be different this time, though. At least I hope it is. I'm sort of tired of this incoherent nonsense Lynn calls a bold experiment.

Panel 1: We se John on the drive home in a pensive mood. He asks himself what this life is about. Is it just about working, spending, saving and Pattersnarfing?

Panel 2: He goes on to wonder to wonder what the purpose of life is because it seems to him that human existence is nothing but the war of all against all. I wonder what minor inconvenience inspired this exercise in sweeping generalizations. Perhaps he decided humanity was no damned good because somebody cut him off in traffic.

Panel 3: He is thus glad to be home, his one shelter against all the nastiness his thin-skinned, imbecilic, immature self is too squishy to cope with.

Panel 4: Too bad he forgot he married a crazy woman who can't deal with children another way than use him as a threat. I wonder what trivial thing Mike did to make Elly yell at him this time. Did he pronounce a word incorrectly? Did he leave the toilet seat up? Is he wearing mismatched socks? Whatever minor thing he did was, Elly wants John to kill him for it.

Hypothesis: We're stuck dealing with this crap till Memorial Day.
