Thanks to a hiccup in the filing system down at Foob Central, we all know exactly what to expect today: April puts Edgar out on the porch when, in the next panel, he smells something. After four panels of sound effects indicating that he's tracking a scent ("SNIFFF-SNOOOFFF-SNUFFFFF") and one of him digging up the backyard ("DIGGG-DUGGGG-DIGGG"), he takes three panels to pick up and gnaw on a soup bone (with the same sound effects his owners use - EEEEEWWWWW!!!) because he's a cartoon dog and that's what they do. We then shift to a panel of Elly sound-effecting a can of dog food into his dish. April takes the last two panels to tell her not to bother 'cause he's eating out. In response, Elly is, as usual when confronted by a minor annoyance, horrified. I remember thinking at the time that she was going to be a rather poor vet if she thought that old bone was more nourishing that the can of dog food but after the last few days, I'd say she was getting some well-deserved payback. That's not so say that Eddy should get sick or anything but if he does, it's because either Elly or John's stupid enough to think thty all s/he has to do is feed feed a dog table scraps and the poor animal is good to go because it, like Jim, cannot tell its negligent owners its digestive tract just got borked.

ETA: nightshine just uncovered some found art I think you'll enjoy.

ETA 2: I hope that after last week's Random Acts of Hatefulness, we at least get a week of more coherent unpleasantness.
