(no subject)

Good evening/morning everyone, I will be your friendly neighborhood snarker this week. I hope I can do as well as our last two guest snarkers. Now that Yahoo is updated, I'll do my best!

An's: one

Panel one: Looks like it's telethon week! Whoop de freakin do! The long shot is a decent choice to establish the scene. However, having the first conversation be from two people way in the back was a very poor choice. It took me about three re-reads to figure out that Eva was not pointing at April's mom, but in fact that's Shannon talking to her mother.

Panel two: Personally, I think this should be a medium shot. I don't know why those two unrelated people are in the corner and I don't care. Thank you Shannon, for establishing that this is indeed the telethon. I would have thought that the first panel made that obvious. I love how she calls April "Buddy". For starters, I don't believe I have ever heard a peer call another Buddy unless they're drinking. Hey, maybe they are! That would certainly make the story interesting. Secondly, I don't believe that April and Shannon are that good of friends. School friends, maybe. But I think poor Shannon is deluding herself. However, so is April with Eva's friendship so it's just as well. Oh and btw April and Eva have made up, I'm sure it'll be all over the retcons. I don't know about anyone else but I would have rather seen April and Eva work it out. But hey, that's actually interesting character development. Can't have that in the foobverse!

Panel three: This really ought to be a close up. By now we know we're at the telethon but condering how poorly faces have been drawn lately, maybe the Lynnions are covering up their art skills. I really don't care that Shannon's going to be there all 24 hours. I don't know the extent of her abilities so I don't know how challenging it's going to be.

Panel four: Ok, she's going to be there the whole 24 hours? This could be interesting if Shannon ends up having a fit or if someone replays her tabletop speech from a cameraphone. But chances are it'll only be Rebecca's downfall when she let's out the evil 6 letter word which will completely undo her career. And then we all learn out lesson that if you can't say anything nice...

Panel five: Sounds to me like Shannon could be gloating. It's not like April's mom would give up an uninterrupted hour with her youngest daughter. And Shannon's mom looks like how I picture Dee in about twenty years.
