Sunday, April 8

Sorry I'm late! To be honest, I don't feel like going panel by panel. The setup doesn't seem to fit the punchline. So Merrie's squirmy in church -- and kids tend to be, especially when they only get dragged there twice a year -- but has she really been waiting with bated breath this whole time to hear about the Easter Bunny?

In the first panel, Mike looks like...well, an asshole in church, instead of a whore in church. I wonder who's at home with Robin? Anybody wanna guess? In panel 5, Deanna looks as if she's cold-shouldering Mike, but it's probably not intentional. In the penultimate panel, Mike is a woman again, same as when he said "Good morning, baby sis!" to April. And in the last panel, he looks outraged, like a Puritan father. Motes and beams, Mikey-boy, motes and beams.

And I just can't resist an Easter joke myself:

Mary to teenage Jesus: "Why can't you be more like your cousin John? Now there's a boy with a good head on his shoulders?"
