Tuesday, November 21

You know, I totally overlooked the way yesterday's strip helpfully pinpointed the date of the going-after, so that people who didn't see it the first time around (or did see it but forgot) could check the archives. Assuming they know about the FOOB site, or have another source available, like Although to be precise, Liz's thought balloon depicts the final panel of August 10th, 2005, so wouldn't that be the date of the assualt? Did Jim's stroke occur on September 25th or 26th? Did April graduate middle school in June of 2005, or July?

Anyway, on to the strip.

Panel 1: Okay, I can understand that. Something happened to me once that I don't want to go into, but it went as far as it did because I spent quite a while thinking "He CAN'T be serious...No one could be THAT much of an asshole." And Howard did start out with comments like "You can shift my gears any time," that would have been amusing IF Liz had been okay with them.

Panel 2: See, right there. If she fights (although perhaps she should have said AGAINST, just to make it crystal clear) and he persists, then it's assault.

Panel 3: Again, proof that she was not willing. Wonder if they'll make anything of the fact that there were other employees on the premises, though. Like, "Why would he try anything when someone could have walked in at any moment?" That HAS been brought up many times, here and elsewhere.

Panel 4: "Was there." As in, "showed up just in time to save the day." Wonder if they'll ask Granthony how he just happened to "be there."

Panel 5: Uh, not sure what that has to do with anything. Except that it's another plug for St. Anthony. Paul. Who.
