"O Great Pumpkin, where are you?"

Panel 1: So they rewrote the song to accomodate Phil. Why is April singing when she does not appear to be miked up? Still, good acting, with the looking apprehensively over the shoulder.

Panel 2: But then they ruin it by calling attention to the instrument itself! Also, black letters on a vivid purple background is very difficult to read.

Panel 3: And everyone's laughing. Well, if that's the reaction they want, okay.

Panel 4: And there you have it. Becky gets her comeuppance. Can we get back to Lizthony now? Anyway, I'm not clear on how "too good" is an issue. They're performing a novelty song with a novelty instrument, and getting lotsa laughs. Becky is about to perform lite pop. Two different things. Is is that Becky is so petty that she wants the band preceding her to, if not totally suck, at least get no more than a lukewarm reception?
