Panel 1: Well, finally Liz gives a response that's not completely neutral! Of course, we don't get any indication how long he's been there or what they might have been doing besides dancing (what does your imagination tell you about how his sweater got rumpled? See, there at the waistline?). But coming from Liz, "I wish you didn't have to go" practically equals "Till we meet again, darling!"

Panel 2: Shoot, no diamond.

Panel 3: What a bizarre posture. Next to the railing with her butt stuck out against nothing instead of the railing, waving at the house instead of the car? Or is she merely trying to catch snowflakes in her hand?

Panel 4: And what the hey is this, a delayed orgasm?

Panel 5: Punchline brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department. For the third time this week. Shiimsa is trying to get out of the way before she gets kicked, if she hasn't been already.

Still doesn't ring true for me, though. I would say that Liz is in love with the idea of love, not with Paul himself. But it's more likely a matter of, as someone speculated, she has to marry someone in the final story arc, so we're being told who it will be, and this is supposed to shut us up until then. And the pirouette isn't even drawn the way it used to be.
