Synopsis: We find Mike and Gordon hovering near the ladies' room watching Gordon fall all to pieces when Mike asks how his date with Tracey is going. Gordon talks hickspeak when he denies he's on a date, says it was a mistake to even take Tracey because he isn't a frustrated mess in her presence and wonders how he can disrupt any future with her without looking like a tool. When we actually see Tracey, it's clear she's about to say the same foolish things as Gordon is.
Summary: This is an echo of Connie's exasperated blathering about the boy Molly was yanked away from, I should think. The idea is that children are too young to know what love truly is and can't see it when it's right in front of them. This foreshadows Liz's being too dim to notice that Anthony BOOOOIIIINNNNNGs in her presence.
