Panel 1: Now that Elly has saved Liz from fitting in with her peers, it's time for breakfast. As she and Mike dish themselves out a mound of food, John comments on the fact that they're already dressed for class; you'd mistake them for children who were eager to go back to class.
Panel 2: Mike explains that the first day is totally cool; you get your locker assignment, you find out which rooms you're in....
Panel 3: ..you get your books, you get your schedule and everyone sort of hangs out before you return home.
Panel 4: Since he doesn't like homework and never will, he astonishes John by being frank about how he sees the rest of the year going down hill from there.
Summary: The irritating thing is that Mike is probably right when he says that his parents don't mind homework because they no longer have to do it.
