The one where we put a button on the Exile Farm arc by having Mike forgive Martha for her sins.

(Original Publication Date, 23 August 1991)

Panel 1: We find ourselves at the McRae house watching Mike and Martha say 'Hi' to one another.

Panel 2: When he says if she's okay, she says yeah.

Panel 3: When she apologizes, he says 'no problem' because he doesn't have to.

Panel 4: As they hug, he thought-bubbles that the sign of a great relationship is being able to talk things out. The 'joke' is that they only exchanged about four or five words but any major dude will tell you that you don't really need more.

Summary: Things look okay for now but this is pretty much where things start to go to crap. Mike starts taking her for granted and we know where that leads. Also, tomorrow, we have a placeholder strip where Liz talks like a much younger child to cleanse our palate for next week's "WAH!!! I'M FORTY! I'M TOO OLD TO LIVE NOW!" pity party.
