The one where Mike parts company with people who gave him room, board, all the unsupervised labour on overpowered machinery he could want and an oversized hat that leads to an insult.

(Original Publication Date, 14 August 1991)

Panel 1: As Mike packs for his return trip home, Laura says that gosh, it's sad to see him go while Danny says that given more time, they could have made an incompetent farmer out of him.

Panel 2: Mike sets up the punchline about boasting about how good he got at running overpowered equipment he should not have been left alone with and how he got good at nearly everything. This makes Bev (who's holding a hat) and Dan do a mild take as if to say "Yeah, right."

Panel 3: Bev gives Mike the hat she was holding and says that it's something to remember them by. Mike points out that it's a bit big.

Panel 4: Since it's somehow Mike's fault that their farm equipment and crops were damaged and not their failure to watch over him or explain things, Danny says that he shouldn't worry because his head will grow into it.

Summary: This is where I expect Lynn to write notes about her aunt Margaret. This is because she is practically champing at the bit to simper that Mike couldn't have had anything like a good experience learning marketable job skills, learning how to handle a cash register and learning how to interact with the general public.
