Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Liz let Elly do something she never usually does and trim her hair a bit. As she does so, John looks at his watch and says that since it's nine in the evening, Mike should just now be at Bev and Dan's place now.
Panel 2: Since Elly is a woman of limited intellect who thinks love is an illness, it surprises her when Liz tells them that Martha called wanting to know the address and phone number of the farm so she can get in touch with Mike.
What Elly doesn't know is that Martha's parents aren't going to let her phone that BOY and she's so confused by Mike's trite observations, she doesn't know how to respond.
Panel 3: This causes Elly to sigh theatrically because her plan to destroy something so she can go back to not knowing what Mike is doing might fail. John tries to cheer her up by saying not to worry because Mike isn't going to settle down just yet. He'll probably meet a whole bunch of eligible females and forget all about this person who's bad because Elly is actually aware of her.
Panel 4: We switch focus back to Exile Farm and find ourselves in a barn as Danny introduces Mike to three sows named Gertrude, Rose and Hermione.
Summary: The revolting thing is that this might actually cheer Elly up. After all, Mike IS stuck in the middle of nowhere spending his days doing back-breaking labour and never has an unsupervised moment to himself. Also, Martha is forbidden from calling him and is too cowed by the gibberish to respond.
