Panel 1: Now that they're home, Liz does pretty much the same thing she did when Elly yelled "WEIRD PUNISHMENT!!!" and sent them to summer camp: selling the ever neat stuff he'd get to do at the farm. After all, when he gets to the farm, he'd be allowed to drive the tractor. Mike snorts in anger and taps his fingers on the table in frustration because he ain't buying the sales pitch.
Panel 2: Elly holds April in her arms as she reminds him that when he's on farm property, he'd be allowed to drive the truck. This attempt to appeal to the budding motorist in him has him grumble in anti-parent moodiness.
Panel 3: Liz then points out that they have a combine and a swather so he could learn to drive anything. Since Mike is being forced away from Martha, he rolls his eyes, whirls his finger in mock glee and says "Whoopee!" because he ain't happy.
Panel 4: John makes the snarky observation that it shouldn't be hard to teach Mike to drive because he's great at driving them crazy.
Summary: Well, given that he's just figured out that John was never actually honest about his offer, I am not surprised Mike is moody. His parents sure are, though. We get to see that Saturday when it surprises Elly that Mike reacts poorly to her reason for doing this.
