Panel 1: We start things off on the back porch as Elly starts to dry her hair.
Panel 2: She then puts down the towel and starts to let her hair dry in the wind.
Panel 3: As she brushes her hair, she pauses because she just thought of something.
Panel 4: Said something is a memory from her childhood as she recalls watching her mother brush her own hair in the wind like she herself is doing now.
Panel 5: Marian's hair was long and gold-coloured and Elly thought it was beautiful.
Panel 6: Elly used to stand in the window where she wouldn't be seen and wished she'd had hair like her mother's.
Panel 7: Thirty years later or so later, she finds herself brushing her own hair in the wind just like her mother did.
Panel 8: This results in that wonderful memory coming back to her as clearly as if it just happened.
Panel 9: Since the theme of today's strip is "history repeats itself", we find ourselves watching Elly be blissfully unaware that Liz is standing in the window where she cannot be seen and wishing that she had hair like her mother's.
Summary: The underlying premise of this one is obvious, isn't it? At some point in the 2020s, Liz's daughter will try to avoid been seen as Liz brushes her hair out in the wind.
