Panel 1: We start things off with Mouthless Elly carrying a sleeping April while she vacuums. If one were to be shown just this panel, one could readily predict the 'ironic' punchline and stand a good chance of being right.
Panel 2: Watching April sleep right through Elly put clothes in a noisy washing machine while a noisy drier is running next to it gets me to thinking that what calms April down is Elly moving around. My opinion means nothing to WE MOMS because I can never give birth.
Panel 3: When putting dishes in the noisy dishwasher, Elly is surprised by the phone ringing.
Panel 4: Since Elly stopped moving and since April can't tell time or understand that she's inconveniencing her mother, she's awake and crying. Since Elly is Elly, she assumes that April deliberately decided to wake up to ruin her life because the alternative is admitting that the world isn't a terrible place and she has very little to complain about. How could she enjoy being feeling big and important if she didn't actually have any trouble to define her?
Summary: We're in for a theme week about how something so small is so tiring to be near. We're also in for me wondering why this idiot thinks April has an agenda.
