Sorry I'm late; we had company!

Panel 1: Hm. Well, I assume this is continuity, though I'm not sure where the crib comes from. But it's perfectly logical that Merrie would have trouble sleeping now. If that's where this is going, I will finally have to give the Lynnions props for being realistic.

Panel 2-3-4: Okay, she's at the Patterson house. But since she's not yelling for Mike or Deanna, I guess she's looking for Santa.

Panel 5: Why does she look so excited to see a tree with no presents under it? Is she supposed to be that angelic and mature, that she values Christmas more than Stuff?

Panel 6-7-8: So she's going to wait for...something.

Panel 9: This better be Mike, finally acknowledging his daughter.

Panel 10: Thank heavens. Although I could have done without the butt shot.

Panel 11: Yes, he does. But wait until you find out how few of those presents are for you guys. As someone said earlier, the big-deal presents were in the apartment, so it'll probably be pajamas, a book, and token gifts from Liz and April. You're not gonna get Barbie's Dream House this year, Merrie.

Meanwhile, some Yahoovians have given me food for thought. First of all, one of them vetoed my suggestion of the Sobinskis' house as temporary refuge, on the grounds that she'll "interfere" and "try to take over their lives." Like Elly doesn't, of course, but she does it so sweetly. Another bluntly said that Mike does not like Mira, so that's a no-go. Tough tomatoes, says I, but I can see the problem: Mike and Deanna will probably have some friction for a while, no matter where they are. Now, Elly will always take the side of her precious baby boy, so Deanna would have to cave, BUT, whenever Mira criticizes Mike, even if it's for the same behavior Deanna was upset with a minute earlier, she will swing into defensive mode in his favor. So they might as well be at Elly's; Deanna is stuck in either case until she makes her own decision.

Also, another other Yahoovian, who apparently did not read the leaked retcons, was musing about the sleeping arrangements at the Pattersons' and suggested that Mike, Dee AND the Patterspawn could ALL be in the basement! Now, why aren't they? Sure, they wouldn't have an en suite bahth, but they would all be together, which would greatly ease the separation anxiety Merrie and Robin are likely to have. But then April wouldn't be put in her place, I guess.

On another note! We've done song lyrics and photos; now let's do movie quotes!

"I'll never let go of your laptop, Mike! I'll never let go of your laptop!"

"No, you submit, do you hear? You be strong, you survive...You stay alive, no matter what occurs! I will find my laptop. No matter how long it takes, no matter how far, I will find my laptop. I will find my laptop!"

"Michael, if you leave the house and your laptop's not with you, you'll regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life."

"Oh, Deanna, where will I go without my laptop? What will I do?" "Frankly, Michael, I don't give a damn."
