The one where John deliberately uses a crying April to try to wake Fiona up.

(Original Publication Date, 13 May 1991)

Panel 1: It's late at night and April is crying. As a bleary-eyed Elly wishes that she would stop, John gets up and says that he'll walk her for a while.

Panel 2: Since only fungus people in basements worry about Liz and her sleep, Elly tells him not to go down the hall or he'll wake Fiona.

Panel 3: John stands around looking as if he's muttering "Wake Fiona" to himself while freaked-out Elly realizes far too late that she's just put an idea in her Nice Guy husband's head.

Panel 4: We next find John holding April outside Fiona's door.

Summary: It would seem that nice people forget all about ten year old children who need sleep and also do passive-aggressive crap like this. Also, this is not the last time John acts on a random suggestion from someone like a sitcom clown. It's just the less damaging to him.
