Panel 1: When she cleans off the kitchen counter, Elly notices that she should also clean off the windowsill.
Panel 2: I start to wonder if people are doing something odd like "doing chores while Elly is out of commission" when she says that a clean windowsill doesn't look good next to dirty curtains.
Panel 3: I then give my head a shake for asking stupid questions like that when she tells herself that the walls need to be scrubbed down.
Panel 4: When Liz asks her what she's doing scrubbing the walls, Elly tells her "wishing I hadn't cleaned the windowsill"; as she does so, a fungus person naming himself after a catfish says she should have wished for a family without what his mother called nub-itis in which arms that have no problem reaching for food shrink to nubs when handed brooms and dish cloths.
Summary: We get to see slightly more of her family's odd behaviour tomorrow when John offers to help her only a little.
