Panel 1: We find ourselves watching John and Elly going for a walk. As they do so, she notices that there are buds forming on the trees while he is focused on the leak in the basement.
Panel 2: We continue this duelling opinions thing with her noting that the grass is turning green while he has to worry about taking off the storm windows for the summer.
Panel 3: All the longer days she delights in mean to him are days spent having to change the oil and switching back to all-season tires.
Panel 4: When she says that she loves this time of year, she doesn't realize that asking him if he loves Spring as much as she does isn't going to get the answer she'd want.
Summary: She won't enjoy Spring long. This is because of two reasons: Spring cleaning and, well, a 'storm' called April.
