The one where we're reminded that John thinks that the worst sound in the world is that of a crying infant.

(Original Publication date, 16 March 1991)

Panel 1: After returning home, Elly channels who ever wrote Fun With Dick And Jane when telling John to look at the extra things for Baby that her friends gave her.

Panel 2: Carol and the others gave her an extra stroller, more diapers, more baby clothes, bibs and blankets.

Panel 3: It's only Elly's clumsy way of expressing herself when stating that they now have everything they need that suggests that she was just preparong for the new addition.

Panel 4: John is confused and disappointed that they didn't think of his needs when he wonders where the earplugs are.

Summary: God forbid that the fucking gargoyle get up at night to tend to a child. The GUYS would never let him live it down. He wants to be what he sees as being a good father: an always-angry idiot who says No and threatens children with bodily harm.
