Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Elly drinking coffee and holding one of the book reviews she sends into the Valley Voice in such a manner that it obscures her vision to anything that might be on the floor. This is a bad habit that has a predictable consequence she can't foresee.
Panel 2: This is because once again, she's forgotten that she has a dog that always seems to be in her way and thus trips over Farley and spills a little bit of her coffee. Usually, this sort of thing happens because she's holding a laundry basket that blocks her lower field of vision because she forgot Farley was there.
Panel 3: She responds to this by using her socks as a sort of mop and telling herself that this is the reason God invented fuzzy socks.
Summary: Socks were made by man. So were stupid jokes like this. That being said, tomorrow has Mike be subjected to Anne's children, Anne's children's bad behaviour and Anne's tendency to ignore and/or laugh off said bad behaviour.
