The one where putting up a new calendar leads to Liz making a Hallmark card-worthy comment.

(Original Publication Date, 1 January 1991)

Panel 1: Now that it's New Years' Eve, Liz says that since it's almost a whole new year, she can get out the new calendar. (As aprilp_katje reminds us, Littlest Guru was originally gushing that 1991 is here now.)

Panel 2: She then monologues about the empty squares she's looking at and speculates about what's going to be written in them.

Panel 3: There'll be trips and appointments and the birth of the Martian Picky-Face Princess Creature Baby; also, there'll be Lynn talking about how she knew Charles Schulz personally because it's a Peanuts calendar with Snoopy on it.

Panel 4: As she gazes giddily at the beagle on the doghouse, Liz thought-bubbles that she loves looking at the calendar because it's history that hasn't happened yet.

Summary: What's about to happen in the immediate few weeks is Elly getting so caught up in the idea that John is destroying her freedom of expression because he fears she'll do something crazy for its own sake that she ignores the old baby even more than she does already.
