The one where the child playing the Fairy Queen delays things because of a potty emergency.

(Original Publication Date, 19 December 1990)

Panel 1: We find ourselves at the arena watching Elly watch the rehearsal. Things are not going well because the director is wondering why the Fairy Queen has missed her cue.

Panel 2: Elly reminds the woman sitting next to her that they've been working on the show for weeks before wondering what made the child in the Fairy Queen costume miss her cue.

Panel 3: As Liz and other children look on, the pageant director is on the case of a fifth-grader in a fairy queen outfit in clear distress as she says "I told you, Jessie! 'Don't drink ANYTHING for at least two hours before the show!'"

Summary: This is an ironic comment on how children do not listen and have no patience and thus inconvenience adults. Let's see what happens when we try making Lynn wait to get to her beer and snacks. We will probably have Mr Humphries's ghost say "The next object is hypocrisy. Hypocrisy."
