Panel 1: Yep, sure enough, the looming silhouette in yesterday's last panel was Lovey. (I didn't notice that until long after I'd posted.) Here's hoping she'll point out how childish Mike is being. I mean, it's all there: plastic doll, "when we were in school" and "an'".
Panel 2: And that was then. Now you have a family and a job and a career and an identity. It's time to let go.
Panel 3: Well, actually, he has not "gone back and forth". Weed claimed him, and it was all good until you fixated on the fact that Weed had a girlfriend to give Ned to. Carleen gave him up on the grounds of "let the baby have his bottle," and you apparently didn't even notice that Merrie flushed him. You just wanted an excuse to pitch a fit.
Panel 4: Ha! You finally admitted it! Though I'm curious to know how you can say it with your mouth closed. And what the heck is Merrie doing? And lord help me if someone's about to make an offer for Ned.
Panel 5: Well, according to the retcons, that's actually Mike's bill. Just think, Mike: If you hadn't been such a brat about getting Ned back, you wouldn't have had to pay anything! Kinda makes you think, don't it!
