Panel 1: Now that she and John are inside, they listen to the lecture Elly should have given Mike last August as he points out that they said they'be be home at midnight and it's one in the morning. Elly apologies for being late.
Panel 2": Mike continues to give the speech Elly should be giving him when he breaks curfew when he says that he was worried they were in an accident. The least they could have done is call him to put his mind at ease.
Panel 3: As she and John wash up to get ready for bed, she notices that "it's" a little bitter, right? John asks what "it" is.
Panel 4: He's taken aback when she says "a taste of our own medicine."
Summary: One would think that Mike would have come to the conclusion that this is why John freaked out two weeks ago but, well, he's Mike and he doesn't do "seeing things from other people's perspective." He also remembers that the only accident they're worried about is the one wherein Martha gets sent off to a home for wayward girls.
