Today's strip is the one in which Mike yells at John and Elly for staying out late.

(Original Publication Date, 29 October 1990)

Panel 1: We find John and Elly driving home from the costume party with his declaring that he just can't party like he used to. Maybe he doesn't get enough exercise or maybe he's just getting ooooooold now that he's past forty.

Panel 2: Elly riffs on his costume choice and unleashes a zinger about not getting enough vegetables.

Panel 3: Now that they're home, Elly looks at her watch and says that they told Mike they'd be home an hour ago before asking John if he thinks he'd be worried. John downplays this concern by assuming that Mike is asleep. He should know better.

Panel 4: Being greeted at the door by Mike asking "SO...WHERE THE HECK HAVE YOU BEEN?" shouldn't really come as a shock given that they insist on acting like sitcom characters but it does.

Summary: Hey, John and Elly. You want kids that understand the importance of keeping promises? Then try keeping them yourselves, you donks.
