Panel 1: We're back at Eastgate Optical watching Liz try on her glasses for the first time. As she looks at herself in the mirror, the optician tells her that she's as cute as can be.
Panel 2: As she and Elly walk home, Connie compliments Liz on how grown-up and pretty she looks in her new glasses.
Panel 3: When Elly shows Liz off to John and points out how adorable the new frames are on Liz, he agrees in a rather soppy manner. The strip should end there but sadly does not.
Panel 4: This is because we are forced to watch John and Elly realize that they've gotta do damage control because the sub-human piece of shit they call a son jovially bellows "Hi, Four-Eyes!!!" because of course he does.
He eventually explains why when, having been asked point blank why he can't be stirred to say anything nice about Liz ever, whines that he can't because she's his sister. One is left with the impression that the malicious nit thinks that if he behaves like a human being, he'll have to surrender his brother licence or something.
Summary: Guess which reaction she'll actually remember. Guess what the compliments 'actually' mean thanks to that hateful pile of crap she calls a brother. Guess which little girl is a massive loon-job who thinks "Mike is a bad person but at least he's honest."
