The new book by Cathy Guisewite: Fifty Things That Aren't Her Fault.

As you know, I have the funny habit of contrasting Lynn with her rival Cathy Guisewite. This has become a bit easier owing to the fact that Cathy has seen fit to publish a book of essays about what she's been up to for the last nine years. While I've only managed to read a few snippets of it, I should think that we're in for what I've come to expect: a warts-and-all self-appraisal of a woman who knows that she has certain behaviour issues that appear very much to be genetic...if her comment about a mother who apologized for giving her her thighs and a daughter who thinks that the perfect legs she has make her look fat and gross is any sort of indication. Lynn talks about fungus people. Cathy wishes that she had appreciated her looks before they actually did go south on her. I think that speaks for itself.
