Georgia gets her nose out of joint because Phil is a guy and thus can't care about important things like her vision of what a kitchen should look like. All he cares about are dumb things like "what comes out of the kitchen" and "how the Hell much is this going to cost?"

Panel 1: As Phil walks into the kitchen, Georgia asks him if she likes what Elly did with it because it gave her some ideas. (In my opinion, one idea she should not emulate is 'having Liz park in the kitchen to dispense sitcom drollery.')

Panel 2: When she starts talking about how she plans on copying the tile work done behind the sink, Phil is too distracted by what's in the fridge to listen and says "Sure, Hon....do whatever you like."

Panel 3: We start to wonder what century Georgia thinks she's living in when she snorts with rage because Phil doesn't care about the only means she has of expressing her identity and has also (as aprilp_katje reminds us) turned into a Sim. Elly doubles down on being in the fatuous fifties by telling her that men don't care about what a kitchen looks like.

Panel 4: As he emulates a hamster, Elly narrows her eyes in irritation and says that they only care about what's coming out. Since this strip is directed at women who hate their husbands almost as much as they hate their kids, Phil can just stand there listening to his sister talking shit about him and let it wash over him because it's just a buzzing noise to him.

Summary: They also care about something else that isn't related to letting their poor wives express their individuality: cost. It says a lot about Lynn that she wants other people to pay for something really retrograde and silly. Also, it doesn't really matter in the long run because no matter what year this is supposed to be, in five years' time, there's going to be a box store where the new house is.
