(Original Version: Strip Number 5159, Date, 24 July 1989)
Panel 1: As she and Elly put supper together, Georgia says that it's good that Phil took the kids to the fair because he needs a break and that the two of them have been pretty tense lately.
Panel 2: Elly stands there with a wan frown on her face when Georgia says that the reason for her and Phil's being on edge is that the two of them have been looking for a house for the last three months and found nothing.
Panel 3: She goes on to state that looking for houses that they can afford has made the two of them completely reevaluate their social status.
Panel 4: The way she sees is, she and Phil are upper middle lower class.
Summary: As always, any initiative towards respectability and maturity has been initiated by Georgia so that Lynn can nag Alan by proxy about his rootless lifestyle. This becomes obvious over the course of the home buying process.
