(Strip Number 1457, Original Publication Date, 10 June 1989)
Panel 1: As she types up something for work, Elly asks Liz what's in the bowl she's eating out of. Liz says that it's a sliced banana wif sugar an'milk on the top.
Panel 2: My "Holy crap" sense is tingling because Liz tells her that she sliced into square vertical strips instead of making horizontal coins of it the way Elly does. This is because unlike Elly, I wonder how she did that.
Panel 3: Elly sets up the joke by asking why John's badminton racket is in the sink.
Panel 4: When Liz explains that she used it to slice the banana, Elly goes all gobsmacked.
Summary: Yet again, Elly is terrified beyond mortal comprehension because a child has done something that never occurred to her. Too bad that Lynn loves that as much as Batiuk likes having Crankshaft destroy his neighbour's mailbox. Oh, well. We leave this week behind so that we can spend the next month on Liz's origin story.
