(Strip Number 1435, Original Publication Date, 3 April 1989)
Panel 1: A few minutes after her awkward encounter with the dope who'd end up T-boning John's ride, we find Elly back in the salon chair being told that her perm is el finito.
Panel 2: Since the point of this arc is to defame a salon because Lynn's hair acts funny when exposed to the chemicals used in a permanent wave, we find that Elly's hair makes her look like she ran afoul of Pikachu. Having noticed Elly's alarmed expression, Marie asks what's wrong. Elly reminds her that she said it was supposed to be a gentle perm.
Panel 3: Marie insists that it is and that Elly is simply not used to the 'minor' change in her appearance.
Panel 4: Elly invites legal action from both King Features Syndicate and Tina Turner denying that she's had anything like a small change by comparing her old self to Olive Oyl and her new appearance to Tina Turner.
Summary: If there are notes, it's going to be a toss-up between "the person who got her the gift card" or "the hair stylist" when figuring out who is supposed to wear the onion sombrero all day long.
