(Strip Number 1434, Original Publication Date, 1 April 1989)
Panel 1: We find Elly under a hair dryer feeling every inch the idiot she thinks she looks like.
Panel 2: She then tries making conversation with her seatmate about the crazy things we gals do to look good.
Panel 3: She then asks if we do it for the men in their lives or for themselves.
Panel 4: When the other person turns out to be some guy with a beard who asks her to speak up because he can't hear her over the noise of the drier, Elly is gobsmacked again.
Summary: I wonder what Lynn's justification for the inevitable blanket condemnation of unisex hair salons is going to be. I also wonder if she's going to understand that it makes her look crazy and stupid.
