(Strip Number 1433, Original Publication Date, 31 March 1989)
Panel 1: Having made note of her new client's trepidation, Marie the Stylist tells Elly that if she wants a change that's not too great, a perm to give her hair body is the way to go.
Panel 2: She then tells Elly not to worry because she's got the time and she'll give the job her undivided attention.
Panel 3: Elly assents.
Panel 4: When she tells an unseen co-worker named Bambi to bring her a sandwich and coke because she's working through lunch hour, Elly is aghast.
Summary: Given Lynn's need to never actually say anything direct to someone who bugs her, I wonder what the person who thought that the Johnston woman actually liked her thought when she saw this. I wonder how much I hate Lynn for caring. I wonder why it was so damned easy to give the woman a bog-standard stripper name.
