(Strip Number 5102, Original Publication Date, 14 March 1989)
Panel 1: Elizabeth bawls her eyes out as she explains what happened to the carton of milk she was sent to get and how it broke when she swung it around and it hit a fence.
Panel 2: When she yells that it was an accident, Elly she asks why she didn't say so in the first place before telling a worse lie about how she could forgive carelessness but not lying. Liz and Mike and everyone know her too damned well and realize that if Liz had confessed to screwing up, we'd probably get what's coming up next anyway.
Panel 3: Always Angry, NEVER FORGIVING Elly tells her child that she's in big trouble. Liz knows this.
Panel 4: When Liz asks her if she's supposed to find someplace else to live (because Elly can't be asked to live in the same house as a liar), Elly looks at us as if to ask "What kind of person does this child think I am?"
Summary: We know what sort of person you are, Flapandhonk: a screaming, vindictive loudmouth who tells lies about who you are and how loving, calm, kind and forgiving you ain't.
