(Strip Number 5079, Original Publication Date, 17 January 1989)
Panel 1: Later that night, we find Elly wide awake; she tells John that she cannot sleep because of all the things she willed upon herself.
Panel 2: He suggests talking them out because doing so will lull her into gentle repose.
Panel 3: The result is a torrent of consciousness rant about how a woman named Shelley said that a Harv would fix the boards but the figure skaters could only cover half of that and the pee wee hockey people are tap city and so on and so forth.
Panel 4: We then turn to our old stand-by "joke" about how "John doesn't take anything Elly does seriously" when he falls asleep mid-rant and angers her.
Summary: This alleged source of humor crops up at any old random time. While it's great at appealing to the part of the fanbase that yearns to see Hubby whiz on an electric fence, it tends to make it hard for Elly to trust John.
