Panel 1: Here it comes: refusal to take Iris seriously. If the hospital will allow Iris to stay overnight (and many do, especially when it's an elderly person refusing to leave), then it's her decision and her right. Elly shouldn't be herding her out the door like a child.
Panel 2: Translation: Are you deaf, woman?
Panel 3: Jeez, Elly. It's not a matter of what she can do. She wants to stay with him because she wants to stay with him. Butt out.
Panel 4: :sad:
Well, at least Elly's insistence gives Iris a focus for her distress. Beyond that, I for one would be impressed if this became a matter of deciding whether or not to pull the plug. I know there are some people who would be upset by that, but it would be brave of LJ/the Lynnions to address the issue. However, it's not likely to happen, because as someone said yesterday, she/they are hacks.
