(Strip Number 1359, Original Publication Date, 25 October 1988)
Panel 1: Later that evening, we find the kids in the rec room in front of the television making note of the fact that people they know called the Kellys have an indoor pool.
Panel 2: Mike goes on to say that the Jacobs family have four televisions, a satellite dish, a whirlpool tub and a sauna. Envious Lizzie is envious because they're ever lucky.
Panel 3: As the rain batters down, the ungrateful and spoiled brats are ungrateful and spoiled and brats when they decry the unfairness of living in their plain, ordinary stoooopid house.
Panel 4: As this is happening, Appeal To Worse Problems Fallacy asks You Two Have a BAD Attitude where he's going to sleep tonight only to be told that he'll worry about that after he finds something to eat.
Summary: Lynn loves the worse off because she seems to think they were put there for the specific purpose of telling her kids they could be worse off. Hmmm. I wonder if catching Aaron eating at a soup kitchen might have altered her perspective. I also wonder if she remembers being asked to take part in an awareness raising thing. That would take awareness so I ain't sure she does.
