Panel 1: What? She doesn't care that Becky's using her? And of course this is past tense, so we don't get to see exactly how it went down; just April's version of events. And is Duncan really tall nowadays, or did Eva suddenly get short?
Panel 2: Ohhhhh. So April justifies her caving in to Becky by framing it as herself being benevolent. And this will, of course, lead to a rephrasing of the Ambition Is Bad speech.
Panel 3: Okay, I find this very, very hard to believe. She can't have put out two albums in a year, unless they were self-produced, and in that case, BFD. She's been on TV? Invited to perform all over Canada? I can't see anyone achieving this level of fame in such a short time, unless "been on TV" means one appearance on a magazine show, in a "ones to watch" segment, and "invited to perform" really means "her agent signed her up to sing at political rallies." "Treated like a goddess" I can understand, if it's by her fellow classmates, but the rest of it doesn't add up.
Panel 4: Wait for it...
Panel 5: Oh, I thought it was going to be about Becky being a big frog in a small pond. But yeah, more April sanctimony.
Again, I'm just not buying it. Nobody, I mean nobody, gets to be famous as soon as they start working. I can believe that she's working a lot, but not that it's paid off immediately.
