Panel 1: All RIGHT! Showdown! But who drew Becky's legs? And I guess the H in Rebeccah has gone by the board.
Panel 2: Aw, man... Dang it, I so wanted Becky to call April on her crap. April just better say no, that's all. N. O. And Becky forgot the H too. So much for continuity.
Panel 3: Hedging. And are they saying this within earshot of a teacher? And is that bush sweating?
Panel 4: Okay, she's asking for help, not to plagiarize outright. But I bet this bargain will be something like "Act like a human being".
Panel 5: Uh...okay. Thing is, the retcons had Becky still talking to April on occasion, and not about copying schoolwork. I mean, I would understand how April feels, but as we've already said, April rejected Becky's offer to have her existence acknowledged, so why is she getting huffy now? And if April "said" she finished her essay, doesn't the fact that Becky knows that imply that Becky DOES acknowledge her existence?
I know we're supposed to cheer this strip -- "Yeah! April finally told Becky where to get off!" -- but I can't see this as completely one-sided. And anyway, I'm not interested: I want Liz's storyline to play out.
