Panel 1: We start off Farley on the porch as something catches his attention.
Panel 2: He happily runs up to Mike as he returns home.
Panel 3: On another day, they walk through the mud together.
Panel 4: On yet another day, Farley gazes at Mike's skinned knee with a sympathetic look on his face.
Panel 5: On a fourth day, Farley burps contentedly because, unbeknownst to Elly, he finishes Mike's table scraps.
Panel 6: On a fifth day, Mike blames breaking a vase on Farley
Panel 7: On a sixth day, When Mike looks out the window at a scary tree at night, Farley is there to comfort him.
Panel 8: On a seventh day, we see Mike fishing next to the tree where Farley's remains will end up being buried and asking the pooch if he knows something.
Panel 9: Said thing is that dogs are a great invention.
Summary: Knowing what will happen makes this rather sort of depressing. I wonder if Lynn will acknowledge this.
