(Strip Number 4987, Original Publication Date, 25 June 1988)
Panel 1: Annie continues her rant about Steve The Hoarder by inviting Elly to look in her basement and under the currently stuffed with stuff porch; that's because there's everything there from clock parts to sheet metal.
Panel 2: It's not a house so much as it's a scrap yard.
Panel 3: When Anne says that she wants some space to move and for someone to come along and haul all of the useless junk away, Elly asks her why she doesn't just do so and stop complaining.
Panel 4: Annie looks as if she's five seconds away from weeping openly and says that she wants him too.
Summary: It would be interesting to know the true source of Lynn's unswerving belief that she can't simply tell someone of higher social status what they're doing to bother her. I have a fairly good idea as to why and it might make the Heintjes interview make sense. Also, I'm on the fence about putting up a thread for Tuesday and Wednesday. I KNOW that I don't want to look at Elly get all rage-faced because her kids like food to have taste to it any more than I want to look at her gulping down left-overs like she'd be flogged to death if she didn't but I'm sort of on the bubble about merely sitcommy gags like John and Elly plagiarizing the Flintstones.
