Did Lynn forget to mention that John is a ridiculously unprofessional and incompetent dentist who lets his home life take precedence over the needs of his patients lately? Well, here you go with him being so SAD that Elly wants to BANKRUPT him that he checks out mentally.

(Strip Number 1303, Original Publication Date, 17 June 1988)

Panel 1: When Jean asks John which procedure she should prep Mrs Madden for, being asked to focus on his job instead of his home life comes as a surprise to him.

Panel 2: Jean calls him the Hell out on being more worried about remodeling the kitchen than his patients.

Panel 3: He tells a colourful lie about how that's not the case. According to him, he's a professional who leaves his home life AT home.

Panel 4: As they work on Mrs Madden, he proves himself a liar by asking her to pass him the linoleum. This astonishes Jean more than it actually should.

Summary: Not only is Rod a 'bad' person for wanting Lynn to stick to one idea and also to a budget, he has to stop running that evil clinic of evilly having an evil harem of cheating on her. Strips like this are clearly meant to ruin his business and thus keep her marriage safe.
