(Strip Number 4981, Original Publication Date, 9 June 1988)
Panel 1: As she takes an instrument out of the autoclave, Jean tells John that he's dead wrong about remodeling because Elly deserves a new kitchen.
Panel 2: Her failure to agree that Elly can do without spurs Trash Bag Johnny to want to talk things over with joke character Doctor Ted.
Panel 3: When reminded that the pathetic mother's boy is a misogynistic assbucket who can be guaranteed to not take Elly's side, John tells Jean that he knows this.
Panel 4: He probably makes Rod wish that his head had had a fibreglass rooster dropped on it a lot sooner when he says that he wants to talk to someone who agrees with him.
Summary: Ted is pretty much Connie's shadow archetype in that they're both essentially only kept around because they're made of confirmation bias. Also, Rod probably spent most of the rest of 1988 being treated like something people dug outta their ear just because he bought a car that was useless because life is not to be enjoyed and cars are simply utilitarian objects meant to ferry kids, grub and lumber.
