We resume Elly's need to enforce a rigid curfew colliding messily with the children being evil and making light of her.

(Strip Number 4959, Original Publication Date, 2 May 1988)

Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Elly tell Mike and the others that since movies are over, it's lights out.

Panel 2: As they give each other conspiratorial looks, Elly tells them that she doesn't want to hear a peep out of them or else.

Panel 3: Since she's a nitwit, the fact that someone said 'Peep' confuses her.

Panel 4: She glowers angrily as each boy points to another.

Summary: We're dealing with a familiar joke here: Elly makes a vague threat only to be either horrified or angered because it's put to the test. Never does she get the blind, unthinking obedience she wants almost as much as praise for breathing.
