(Strip Number 1278, Original Publication Date, 18 April 1988)
Panel 1: We start off with Elly standing at the top of the staircase to the rec room asking Mike and Lizzie to turn down the television because once again, they're playing it too loudly.
Panel 2: Since they didn't immediately do so, she heads downstairs and gets all rage-faced when she tells them to turn down the blasted racket.
Panel 3: When she find that the noisy set blaring away to nobody, she doesn't scowl in irritation or sigh in frustration because they did that to her again like a normal person. She stands there gaping in horror because they did that to her again like Elly Patterson.
Summary: Lynn clearly seems to want Elly to be an unhappy everymom but her being a one-note creature of shocked and terrified over-reaction to commonplace irritants makes her look too fragile to fill the role.
