Easter Saturday 2017

Greg actually interacts with his own daughters so that Lynn can remind us of her belief that parents and children are born adversaries.

(Strip Number, Original Publication Date, 15 April 1988)

Panel 1: As they seem to heading towards the door, Greg tells Molly and Gayle that he'd rather they not go out that night as they've got homework AND their rooms are a mess.

Panel 2: This elicits the standard howls about unfairness that Lynn assigns to all children.

Panel 3: When Greg uses Standard Response Number Three and points out that they could have invested the time wasted standing around complaining getting their work done, they reply by angrily slamming the doors.

Panel 4: Having overheard all of this, Elly makes a shit of herself by complimenting Connie on making her home so much like the Pattermanse.

Summary: We end the week but not the arc. That comes Monday when they entertain glorious fantasies of revenge and sticky-out tongued laughs of malice.
