(Strip Number 1259, Original Publication Date, 8 March 1988)
Panel 1: We start the arc when Mike tells Elly that he has yet to put away the clean laundry she put in his room.
Panel 2: When we get to his room, we're reminded that it takes years to convince Mike that he had to pick up after himself when she's staggered by the mess and asks him how he can live in there.
Panel 3: Why, given all the stuff strewn carelessly all over the place, she doubts that he can even tell what is clean.
Panel 4: His telling her that the clean pile hasn't been trod on does not reassure her.
Summary: Should there be notes, we can expect that Lynn's confusion as to why Aaron keeps things relatively tidy now to be informed by her inability to see that Mavises are better at explaining why and how to maintain things than she cared to be. Lynn might want to make Elly into a sympathetic figure but she goes into things with a bad attitude and a need to hate her children as much as she (falsely) thinks they hate her.
